Professor at Civil Engineering School of Barcelona belonging to the UPC; Senior Researcher at CIMNE. He has obtained his PhD. degree on Civil Engineering at UPC in 1988, is Doctor “Honoris-Causa” from University of Salta, Argentina, 2007 and he has followed Advanced Structural Analysis Studies at Rome University, Italy 1983 and has obtained the Civil Engineering degree in the, National University of Salta, Argentina, 1979. Academic publications of Prof. Oller are summarized in: eighty-seven papers on International Journals (JCR), fourteen papers on National Journals, hundred-twenty papers on International and National Congress, four Books, seventeen Chapters of Books, and eighteen Monographic works. The research group of Prof. Oller has participated in 37 competitive projects in the last 20 years. Of these, 22 were funded by the Government of Spain, 13 by the European Union, 1 from the University of West Virginia, USA and 2 in Argentina. Principal research areas: Constitutive models, new structural materials, composites materials, fatigue, biomechanics, earthquake engineering and dynamic of Structures, industrial casting processes and parallel computing.
