Students will be distributed according to their ranking, language skills, priority of field of specialization, and the places available at each Consortium institution. The aim is to achieve evenly balanced groups of high-quality students of different nationalities at each institution. First year students will be distributed evenly between Swansea and Barcelona, taking advantage, whenever possible, of Spanish speaking abilities of students. In all cases, the ultimate decision in relation to the placement of students will lie with the Board of Studies.
Third-country scholars will spend three months at one of the Consortium institutions. In addition, we envisage that third-country scholars will pay short-term visits offering lectures at one or more of the other Consortium institutions; thereby experiencing the university and country, and enabling scholars to gain broader European experience. This distribution is foreseen seamless given the long and strong collaboration between the Institutions of the Consortium in Computational Mechanics.
