Kratos project had started in 2001 by the work of Francisco Javier Royo and Pooyan Dadvand under the supervision
of Professor Eugenio Oņate at CIMNE.
After the initial difficulties due to the beginning of such a big challenge and on the other hand,
to the premature death of Francisco, kratos improved its development and grew step by step,
thanks to the essential effort of the same Pooyan Dadvand and of Riccardo Rossi, its real "fathers".
During these years the idea of a multiphysic open source code had seemed interesting to many other scientists
of all Europe working independently on different research areas and adding their own contribution to the program.
The dynamic nature of kratos itself is the principal reason of the continue evolution of the
KRATOS TEAM
