Objectives

The workshop on Computational Techniques in Food Engineering will cover a wide scope of research on the use of mathematical and computing techniques in food processing. The state-of-the-art in computational methods for the optimisation and control of food technologies from a scientific base is the main objective of the workshop.

The experience of international experts will be shared with all the participants covering the simulation and modelling of unit operations and process plants, food process optimisation, decision support systems, food quality control.

On the other hand, the workshop will be organized in a strategic area offering the unique opportunity of a round-table with people coming from the local food industry. The objective is to stress out the actual industrial requirements and the possible solution coming from the scientific community to stimulate the dialogue and business opportunities with the highest technological content.
