In June 15th, 2017, CIMNE, partner of the aquatic drone project ULISES, has participated in the “Technological Naval Day in Defence” organized by the General Directorate of Weapons and Equipment (DGAM), through the General Subdirectorate for Planning, Technology and Innovation (SDGPLATIN). It took place at the Assembly Hall of the Channel for Hydrodynamic Experiences El Pardo (INTA - CEHIPAR), Madrid.
Its objective was to set up a forum for exhibiting needs and developments (Fragata F-110, Unmanned Vehicles in the Naval Field, Naval Weapon and Combat System, Shipyard 4.0, etc.) by different agencies of the Ministry of Defence to the representatives of national companies, technology centres and universities, responsible for highlighting the solutions to these needs according to their areas of work. An example of these solutions is Ferri, the result of collaborative efforts by the University of Vigo and CIMNE in the project ULISES, financed by the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness (MINECO) within the programme "Retos de Colaboración 2015".
