Coffee Talk - "Formfinding and Prestressed Membrane Analysis", by Anna Rehr
Wednesday, March 21st, 2018. Time: 15h.
Place: O.C. Zienkiewicz Conference Room, C1 Building, UPC Campus Nord, Barcelona
This talk will give a short introduction to formfinding and prestressed membrane analysis. Current aspects of the implementation in Kratos/GiD are given with a special focus on the workflow consisting of a formfinding analysis followed by a membrane analyis. Specialities for anisotropic prestressed formfinding and the robustness of the approach regarding specific parameters are presented.
Anna Rehr is a second-year graduate Student in Computational Mechanics, TU Munich with a B.S in Mechanical Engineering, also from TUM. Her research focus is on Finite Elements: During her master thesis she focused on Error Estimation and Mesh Adaption. Currently she is doing her Honours Project here in Barcelona at CIMNE where she works on formfinding and membrane analysis.
