Healthapp, among the 20 most promising start-ups
The newspaper El Mundo, in its "Innovative" section, has recently published an article about TCAPP, a health software application developed by Healthapp. The company, in which CIMNE Tecnología SA is involved, is among the 20 most promising start-ups on the international scene, according to the Future Internet Challenge eHealth (FICHe). Financed by the European Union, this programme promotes the development of the start-ups in the field of health and new technologies.
TCAPP in detailTCAPP is a software application designed to provide help in the treatment of eating disorders. This tool permits to register the daily actions and feelings of the patient. However, its creators decided that the access to the application will not be suitable for everyone, but that is part of a therapy supervised by a health profesional. The Co-funders of Healthapp, Jordi Cusidó and Jordina Arcal, explain in the newspaper interview that their goal is to improve the relationship between doctor and patient.
In addition, this innovative application wants to make the difference with its future competitors and it is working together with mental health professionals. Among its collaborators are some hospitals like Parc Taulí de Sabadell or the Institut Balear de Salut, and entities such as Pricewaterhousecoopers (PwC) or the Obra Social La Caixa.
