To support and enrich interior concept development, INGENIA is leading specific comfort-oriented research project in the field of comfort engineering led to develop specific applications able to processes interior-related parameters such as ergonomics, thermal feeling, acoustics and vibration, lighting, olfactive sensation, etc. to obtain “comfort perception indexes” which are graphically represented on virtual humanoids located on computer-generated closed environments (aircrafts, trains, cars, etc.).

From the product point of view, INGENIA is also approaching open issues related with materials, technologies and process leading a pioneering research project addressed to develop innovative hybrid composite materials with adaptive capabilities to unlock aircraft interior concept and architecture design while complying with aeronautics standard restrictions.
