I am a Senior Postdoctoral Researcher at the International Centre for Numerical Methods in Engineering (CIMNE), a Centre of Excellence Severo Ochoa. I am also affiliated with LaCàN, the Laboratori de Càlcul Numèric at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya - BarcelonaTech (UPC) and I am Adjunct Lecturer at the Barcelona School of Civil Engineering.

Before joining CIMNE, I was a Distinguished Postdoctoral Researcher at UPC. Before that, I was a PhD student in Applied Mathematics at CMAP, Centre de Mathématiques Appliquées de l'École polytechnique and I was affiliated with the Institut Polytechnique des Sciences Avancées (IPSA) and Inria Saclay's DeFI Team.

I received a MS in Mathematical Engineering from Politecnico di Milano with a major in computational methods for engineering and optimisation. I developed my Master thesis within Inria Sophia Antipolis' OPALE Team.

My research interests lie in numerical methods for PDEs (finite element, discontinuous Galerkin, finite volume), reduced order models, dimensionality reduction, PDE-constrained shape optimisation and a posteriori error estimators, with applications to computational fluid dynamics, computational mechanics, multiphysics problems and image segmentation.
