Prof. Eugenio Oñate, Keynote Speaker at the Asbar World Forum in Riyadh

The director of CIMNE, Prof. Eugenio Oñate, was invited as Keynote Speaker at the Asbar World Forum held at the Marriot Hotel in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on 14-17 November 2017.
The objective of the Asbar World Forum was to present and discuss different innovation models that could be adequate for the Vision 2030 plan of the Saudi Arabia Government. The forum was attended by some 400 participants from academic, government and industrial organizations in Saudi Arabia.
In the Asbar World Forum Prof. Oñate presented one hour plenary lecture on "The CIMNE Model for Generating Knowledge on Computational Engineering and its Transfer to Society". In addition Prof. Oñate had several meetings with representatives of the prestigious Saudi universities KACST and KAUST and of companies such as Aramco and ELM. He also met with chief officers of RMP Innovations, the organization for promoting innovation in Saudi Arabia.
