On April 29th, the Chinese company AutoCAE and Quantech, a Spanish company developing and commercializing industrial FEM software packages based on technologies developed by CIMNE, signed a distribution agreement to promote, sale and support the Stampack metal forming simulation software in the Chinese market.
Mr. Bruce Li, AutoCAE’s CEO and Ms. Anne Wang, CAE engineer at AutoCAE were trained at the Quantech headquarters in Spain, and further trainings will be held in the near future. AutoCAE offers consulting services on metal forming processes in the aeronautics and automotive sectors. Their highly trained staff and extended experience in the Chinese market will become key assets for the promotion of Stampack in China.
Stampack is a practical metal forming simulation package oriented to product and process tool designers and engineers so that knowledge and experience of finite element analysis (FEA) is not required. Most of the simulation definition work is automated leaving tool designers to concentrate on the formability problems and solutions. Stampack provides a practical method for eliminating the creation of physical prototypes and thereby reducing time and money required in getting the product into the market. Its main applications are found within the automotive, aerospace, stainless steel, packaging, household and electrical connectors industries.
AutoCAE, a CAE company based in Beijing, has extensive experience on impact and metal forming simulation, and his main activity is focused on the aeronautical sector, where they provide consulting services on phenomena such as parachute deployment, impact and damage on composite materials, ditching, landing gear or blade containment, amongst others.
