Last June 26, CIMNE hosted the 3rd Chinese-European Workshop on International Cooperation on Aviation Research where the ICARE Consortium –of which CIMNE is a member– met with its Chinese counterpart, the INNOVATE Consortium. This workshop is a follow-up of the previous one hosted by CAE at Shenzhen, China, in November 2018.
ICARe is a Horizon 2020 Coordination and Support Action to foster cooperation between the European Union, associated and third countries and to provide the European Commission with recommendations for future international cooperation in civil Aviation Research and Innovation. The project focuses on 5 countries, namely Canada, China, Japan, Russia and United States and is funded by the European Commission under the H2020 grant number 769512.
CIMNE is contributing to ICARe from its more than 10-year experience collaborating with China, through the development of AeroChina, AeroChina2, GRAIN and GRAIN2 CSA projects as a coordinator, as well as its participation in MARS, COLTS, DRAGY, IMAGE and ECO-COMPASS research projects taking both the role of participant and coordinator.
