The CIMNE PhD student Felipe Muñoz, awarded at the Hackathon Viladecans IoT

Felipe Muñoz La Rivera, civil engineer and PhD student at CIMNE, has won the adult modality of the “Espais de Treball Intel·ligents” with the work "Cubic", a cube that sends data on the working conditions of the workspace (such as light, humidity, temperature, etc.). The prototype was designed together with four other engineers from Barcelona.

The Hackathon took place on 22nd November and consists of 27 hours of collaborative work in order to solve challenges to improve working conditions and create new smart work spaces in Viladecans through solutions based on Internet of Things (IoT). The event was organized by the municipality of Viladecans and La Salle Technova, and run after the presentation of the "Viladecans Innovació Empresarial".
