It has participated in 5 projects in the field under the FP5-FP7 EC, Consolider-Ingenio or JPI programs. In the last year, a new JPI project, an International Training Network and a RISE project have been awarded, leading to an extension of the International network of institutions that GHS is collaborating with.

The functions assigned to the candidate will be:

  1. Complete a PhD on New Numerical Methods for the analysis of pollutant transport of hazardous organic compounds of emerging concern in a bio-amended porous media. This involves accounting for the transport of nutrients and microorganisms that are moving, colonizing the environment, and interacting in a complex non-linear way driving biochemical reactions by co-metabolism. The candidate is expected to complete the PhD thesis in a maximum of three years.
