European Kick-off Meeting of Alternate project

On January 29th 2020 took place the Kick-off Meeting of the project Alternate that has brought together a consortium of world leading, interdisciplinary experts in the field of air transport, engine certification and alternative fuels both from Europe and China. The objective of the project is to provide synergy of the potential climate change mitigation strategies based on the use of alternative jet fuel pathways.
Project participants made their contributions during the meeting
The event was held at Aeronautics School (ETSIAE) located at Technical University of Madrid (UPM) and was the opportunity to launch the project. The meeting gatherated together the European partners and counted with the remote presence of the Chinese colleagues, who could not travel due to quarantine established in China as a consequence of the Coronavirus. Although the difficulties, the meeting resulted in a constructive and interesting discussion, as well as the opportunity to introduce each partner and its capabilities.
