Functions to be developed by the applicant:

CIMNE is looking for a Research Engineer to be part of the Research Group on Machine Learning in Civil Engineering

The position is associated to the Project TRISTÁN: “New computational Tools for RelIability-based dam SafeTy AssessmeNt”, (RTI2018-094785-B-I00). The tasks to be developed are:

1. Application of numerical methods and machine Learning techniques in dam safety problems.
2. Application of numerical methods in structural and hydraulic analysis of dams.

Requirements:

• Bachelor or MSc degree in Civil, industrial, environmental engineering, or related areas.
• Expertise in machine learning will be a plus.
• Good programming skills.
• Good working knowledge of English, written and spoken.
  

Evaluation of candidates:

The requirements and merits will be evaluated with a maximum mark of 100 points. Such maximum mark will be obtained by adding up the points obtained in the following items:

• Academic record (60%)
• Previous research and professional experience in the field of the position (20%)
• Programming skills (10%)
• Language skills (10%)
