Project workplan

The uLites is divided in 7 work packages (WP).

WP1 Structural Concepts and Integrated Design Approach
Definition of a first structural design that will serve as a basis for the final prototype. Identification of the material properties and load scenarios that will have a stronger influence in the final design. First contact between all partners, clarifying any questions about the remaining work packages. Patent search analysis and state of the art compared to the project objectives.

WP2 Material Testing
Characterize the structural properties of the novel materials that will be used in this project Description of work and role of partners

WP3 Numerical Wind Tunnel
Define the Virtual Prototyping software and provide guidelines for its application, including the definition of the benchmark problems that will be used for its validation. Develop and implement a software tool capable of simulating the behavior of lightweight structures in presence of strong winds.

WP4 Virtual Prototyping Lab
Implement an interface for the simulation code, including a design module.

WP5 Design and Construction of Prototype
Use the knowledge gained and the tools developed in previous work packages to build a prototype shelter structure.

WP6 Dissemination and Exploitation
Dissemination and exploitation of the progress and results of the project.

WP7 Management
Management of the overall project
