The firm NIELSEN & RUBOW was founded in 1985 and expanded to its present size and organization in 2001. Today we are all-round architectural firm with about 30 employees (27 architects and an administrative staff of 3) and with a long and still active record for participating in - and winning - national and international architecture competitions.

NIELSEN & RUBOW belong to Danish Council of Practising Architects (PAR - www.par.dk). Established in 1960, the Danish Council of Practising Architects (PAR) is an association of private firms of consulting architects affiliated to the Federation of Danish Architects/Association of Academic Architects (DAL/AA). Its objective is to represent the commercial interests of practising architects and, in its capacity as impartial consultant to building clients, strengthen the position, quality level and professionalism of its member firms.

Over the last years an overall ecologic consciousness has permeated all of our work. We are convinced that it is the environmental quality of the daily work instead of few specialised projects that counts.

Many of our complete works are the results of 1.prizes in architectural competitions. The projects vary from housing, centers for the elderly, schools and sportfacilities to site - and urban planning for large areas. The clients are predominantly public or semi-public organisations.
